Few more questions before I tackle my build

Im going Saturday to pick up an explorer 8.8 from a junk yard for $78.00. I have a choice between 18 explorers on the lot so hopefully Ill find one with 3.73's or higher.
When setting up the pinion angle for a lift, should it be at the factory 6 degree angle? Or do I have to adjust it for a lift?
2.) Ive read that explorer leaf springs will give you 2" of lift, is this true?
3.) what is reverse rotation? I know it has something to do with how the differential is setup. Does this mean only few t-cases will work because not all t-cases spin the same direction toward the front?
Also thought I would throw in some pictures of what im working with. This was a year ago in the process of painting it dark blue. I am going to repaint it viper blue after the axle swaps are done because I dont feel like buffing out the terrible orange peel.

i heard also the explorer springs give 2" lift but couldn't tell you for 100%,

with the amount you are talking about lifting your truck the pinion angle is not really an issue, 5" or more it comes into play. if you are rewelding the perches on the new axle. i might rotate them about 1/4" forward of stock postion but thats all. later if you get more lift you can buy tappered axle shims to set the pinion angle.

reverse pinion is really where the pinion is set. higher or lower on the ring gear. but all ford transfercases work so don't worry.

and nice truck, great to finally see it. i like the color too !

actually i have been trying to pick a color for mine and i thought about dark blue but the trail scratches really show, but im not really liking the light color options.

I painted it back to factory color which was 7F dark metallic blue but the orange peel is so bad it would take forever to sand and buff it. This time im going with a lighter blue metallic. More of a candy color.
