My son and I are fixing up his free 1987 Bronco II. The drivers side rear shock mount has rusted away and the Ford dealer says it's obsolet with no replacement. Do i search junk yards? aftermarket companies? fabricating it is beyond our capabilities. any help greatly appreciated.

if it was me I would go to the local help yourself type junkyard and grind the rivets off a decent one and then bolt it in... you can also use a chisel and hammer to knock the heads off the rivets... my fav tool is a air chisel

I assume your talking the upper mount, so ya junk yard. If you can, grind a X in the rivet head using a cutting wheel on a grinder then use an air chisel or regular cold chisel to knock,er off. good luck
