Rear axle play

Today I noticed that I could push my rear passenger side axle in and out about a 1/4''. What is worn to give this much play?

If have what most have then your c clips are a little worn and not caused for any concern. If you must you can take the rear diff cover off and inspect everything. Also since you have a semi floating axle you could be getting a little play from your bearings also. Hope this helps

One side was pretty sloppy when when I still had my 7.5". I just kept running it and never had any problems. Might be from worn thrust washers on the side gears.
