3.0 into 84' BII

My 84' Bronco II has developed a lower end knock and I am no longer interested in rebuilding the 2.8 with 2bb. I have a donor Aerostar with 3.0 and I am hoping that someone might have tried this before me and I might avoid an large stumbling block(s). As DBROWN mentioned in his 4.0 swap, I will have both setting side by side. I was hoping to get some insight of mounts and/or transmision, transfer case matching.
