I am new to this site but was wondering how hard and exspensive it is to change my automatic 4x4 to manual. I have a 88 bronco II the low 4x4 works but the high does not your help would be great.
I don't think there is a way to convert your existing electric shift transfercase to a manual shift. You can easily swap transfercases to a manual shift. Aside from cutting a hole in your floor, it should be a bolt up job.
Once I swap the t case will I need to new front manual loking hubs also or will the automatic still work. Sorry this is the first bII I have ever owned and not real smart about them
i have autolockers and its really nice, but in the end i dont like them, if you are on the trails and in the mud alot they will retain liquids and rust out some. and soon as i get off the trail i go wash my truck so i know its not from letting it sit
