I like the roll bar. is it a smitty built? I need to start looking in that direction when I get the thing running and driving. I would like to junk the hard top and go soft, but I need a cage to do that and stay safe.

D i dont think you have any stability problems. i thought the same thing for a while and i've seen some short axle vehicles do some crazy stuff just look at Nobody's rig major flex and i have'nt seen it flop yet. did you post any of you stuff up at Pirate4x4? i sold my axles on there it did'nt take long but i had them up for pretty cheap. i think it was like about $400.00 for the pair d444 and 9". the other day i saw a nothing special d44 that was priced at $450.00  . im having a hard time selling the engine though. no matter i think you'd do fine to keep the eb stuff.

by the way how is Phillipi coming along with his d44 swap? anyone know?

well, I have a sale pending on the gears. but I have priced the D44 for $300 with the factory gears. now that I am looking at full width I am thinking about stepping back. I think I can sell the EB front easier, for the fact that anyone with a ranger is after one and it is an upgrade for 66-early 71 EB's I can probably get the same or more for the EB front also.

I liked how the BII felt when rolling over larger stuff and I think it will be better on the road too. besides I like the aggressive look also.

once I sell the gears I am out of debt on the EB. so I need to sell the lift and some other stuff to get me on the road. I have been doing a lot of cleaning out back trying to get my hands on anything I can use. but it is comming along. I think I will be on the road before it starts to snow anyway

Damn that sounds familiar!!!! was it this time last year or the year before?? sound's good. i know what you mean about the stance and all. this time im going to build so i wont miss out on all the wheeling. plan is to get a b2 this Oct. buy some extra d28 shafts and wheel it. until i finish my d44 and 9" which should'nt be long. d44 just need's new hardware (balljoint's, bearings, seals, rotors, brake lines, etc). 9" needs (brake line's, axle shaft bearing's, axle shaft stud's, and new brakes). there both going to get 5.13 gears and lockright for the d44. next summer i plan on making another trip to WA and i plan on having my b2 ready....

yeah, I was down to the wire to get to turkey bay in june last year. I remember the day before I left I was still welding some stuff just to make it work for the trip. and the cool thing was I never pulled the tools out of the back.......they got a good jolt when I flopped it twice though.

the 5.13's were nice on the trail. that 351M had some torque right where I liked it but it didn't like the RPM's too much though.

you have a 351C dont you? I would save the motor tranny and transfer case for a swap into the BII. if you were closer I could get you a heck of a deal on a BII. I have a friend that works at a car lot and there is one behind the shop he is trying to sell for cheap.

Those are my 36's on the back of the bronco. I was messing around and checking ground clearance.

My plan is to run 33's but have enough room to put the 36's on to play in the SNOW with the family. We are getting some snow this year. We sooo got ripped off last year.

My Bronco II was supposed to be retired this year, but it looks like it gets another winter! I refuse to miss out on snow wheelin. I just picked up a new windshield, so I'll be legal again. My plan is to get a new body. I'm going to keep wheelin the BII.

Only problem is, other than snow, there's almost no place near home left to wheel.

i thought about the 351c swap but damn is that a shoe horn project.. i did a little research and it's been done in a 2 wheel drive ranger, but the custom work would be more than i would want to spend. dont get me wrong i love that engine 259hp and 292 torque. it would just be easier to run the 302. and the c6 i have would work with that motor as well. it's all in the plans but for know im going to stick with the 2.9l and find a 302 to swap in maybe in a couple of summers.

all sound's good. i'd love to go on a snow run im hoping to do so this winter being that the sierras get plenty of snow fall every year. there was load's of snow last winter so much that at 6000 ft it did'nt even melt off till july. there was more rain then usual to. the summer was really hot topping off at about 112*-114* so im hoping for a cold and wet winter again.

so your going to DD the eb and keep the b2 as a wheeler? sound's good definetly need a new body with the little now. you going to keep the top on? im thinking of having the rear windows removed and some plastic like windows made for the rear. something that will fit like the stock window does but has snap's and can be rolled up for the summer.

I'll probably leave the top on at first. I have a family to pack around now. I think ultimately I'll have to come up with a soft top because I like having a pickup.

It'll be a few years before the EB is built enough for the deep snow. I can't even afford one 4wd...and now I'm building two  I just can't justify beating up an EB.

I'm actually going to daily drive both bronco's. I plan on driving the BII on the rainy days until I can get the EB all rust proofed.
