I got it taken car of
used some 7* shims to straiten out the perches so the coils are in good shape. the frame suspension and everything came from a 79 Bronco. I did the cab swap. so it is all FS junk. going to work on the Bronco tomarrow so I might have some updates!
71 Bronco - twin sticked, full width, 2" lift, wristed arm, lots of rust...
moved for the first time on it's own this last weekend. large clunking coming from the rear but it is getting the new 3rd member in the next week so it will be ok.

yeah, I am getting close......I got one step closer today and pulled the rear 3rd housing removed the open 3.00 and installed the spool and 5.13's in the back. now all I have to do is put the 3rd back in and set up the front. I will probably take it down the road tomarrow for the first time.

yeah, the cover has always been an idea, but I don't know if it will get much more finished other then using some hood pins to hold it down. I was also thinking of removing the whole roof. if that happens then I will scrap the idea. I cut up the hard top from the 79 to make that and it fit pretty good. so if any one wants the idea there it is.

it runs pretty good......rebuilding the carb and the new wires really helped, but I still have some tuning to do. I went to set the timing and the dizzy dosen't want to rotate. so I am going to shoot some oil down there next week to see if I can get it loose.

What did you end up doing to fix the radius arms being maxed? I would probably just unbolt it and get it sitting so that the holes are lined up with the radius arms then drill and bolt it back on the frame. Awesome work though, can't wait to see some action pics, what springs are those? They look like they would flex more than mine and might not be too tall for me either.

I haven't done anything to the radius arm brackets. I was waiting untill I could see it flex and it doesn't look like I will have any problems. when I got it moving the bushings allowed the arm to stay out of the bottom part of the bracket. I am just going to let it go for the turkeybay trip.
the springs are superflex from www.jeffsbroncograveyard.com I got the 4" lift springs but they are longer then the EB's. I don't know what you are using but if you need some measurements I will get them for you.

I'm going to build my own mounts to eliminate some of the drop. When I do, I'm going to make it so the bushing is nuetral when the suspension is at rest.

That is what I meant by angling the bracket so it holds the arms at the right angle, I just couldn't think of how to word it.
DB I'll wait until yours settles and I am closer to going home to ask you for any measurements, but once they do if you measure them with it just sitting there I'll make a note on my computer about it so I can decide what I want to do when I get home. If I remember right I think mine were like 19 inches compressed, but I could use taller spring buckets and different mounts on the bottom that aren't so thick and get some longer ones in there. Yours just look like they would flex alot better than mine, and even if it lifts me an another inch or so I would be okay.
