I have those wire colors on my ignition module, just not in the same order. The few that go to the dizzy also have stripes.

Here are the pics of my wire colors. They don't go in order with the one in the wiring diagram but the colors are all there. So I'm just going to wire it up like the diagram shows.

So I was going to switch the gears on my distributor. Got the pins out, pressed em off. They are different diameters, and the teeth are cut opposite. I'm a little frustrated, I have a huge list for parts now at the junkyard.

It was an 84 f150. I ran the vin through a decoder and it said it was a 300 I-6 orginally. The intake manifold bolted right up. Valve covers too. I don't know. I'll be more careful when I'm there Friday. I'm not leaving until I have everything I need.

It was an 8 cylinder block. Did they put the wrong distributor in? Does that mean I need a different ignition and coil?

I'll get pics of them side by side. It's got to be the wrong dist. or something then. I don't know if I should look for a different ignition now too? What do you think?

Haha. Thanks for staying behind me through this. I'm getting different ignition parts next Friday. We'll see what happens then. I'll have wiring questions then for sure. Then it should be ready.
