dead spot

i have a 86 bII and its like i ahve a dead spot in my pedal or something....ill be accelerating and itll like stop and sputter and then jsut take off and i dont accel fast or anything what could it be??

Could be O2 sensor or fuel filter. Check fuel filter first.

i changed both of those already and it didnt solve anything....any ideas

maybe throttle position sensor i think 86 has them...

crap I forgot to hit the submit button before I left, I was gonna say TPS, and yes the 86 has them, its the first year for fuel injection.

ive changed it all....o2 sensor,TPS,air filter,fuel filter, spark plugs....i duno what else to try it doesnt have a mass air flow sensor......so i dont know

run codes before you spend any more money...it is free at autozone.

if your going to run codes you can use this sight as well www.fordfuelinjection.com it should help you out.

what is this test going to do tell me if i need a tune up or if something is wrong.......ill go make a pass tom....thanks for all the help i really apprciate it

the codes will tell you what problems your bronco may have... is like a sense nerve in your body it sends a signal to your brain when it senses pain, pleasure, etc... even though your engine check light aint on it may be storing or have codes anyway... there is a way to check codes with out the code checker as well its on the site.
