reusing a lift!!
I recently found a bronco at a junkyard stripped of motor/tranny and windows lol but it has a fairly decent looking lift that looks to be about 6 inches. It has trailmaster shocks & red coil springs. I just had a few ?s about the lift kit itself. In the front it has a dual steering stabilizer setup ...

the valve cover gaskets were the cork rubber ones. When i first started it up after i changed the valve & intake gaskets, i could see oil on the rear of the valve cover gasket and noticed that the back bolts had loosened, so I torqued them down a little tighter than i had b4. They are now dry, so I ...

stupid 2.8l oil leak
I swear to god I hate this 2.8L p.o.s.!! When I bought the truck it was leaking oil out of the valve covers and the intake, which I heard was common. I bought the gaskets from Napa (since I work there). I put the valve cover gaskets in dry with no silicone and the intake gasket a buddy of mine told ...

come to think of it, I think that will be cheaper anyway. I'll worry about suspension lift later, I just wanna fit some decent tires for now anyway. By the way, anyone know exactly how wide those stock alloy wheels are and what would be the widest tire i should go with? I can get some 33X12.5 big o ...

ghetto lift!!
ok, i decided against going with the 302 (for now) because I really need a ride back & forth to work. I'm going buy the @$&*ing $80 distributor since thats pretty much all thats keeping it from running. But, now I've got the lift on my mind. I'm gonna go 3" shackles in the rear because I already ...

how much are the adapters to put one of those trannys to the stock t-case? or is it worth it to just get a tranny/t-case and throw in there? also, i was looking at the front end (i guess its the dana 24 or whatever the # was on that p.o.s.) and it looks major weak! will i run into problems with it ...

forget the duraspark, Im going 302!
I was gonna go for the new ignition for the simplicity of it, but a friend of mine is gonna get me a decent 302 HO out of a mustang for $200!! All i'll need to find is a tranny, and i don't think that will be too hard. All i need to know is if a tranny exists that will bolt up to the 302 and to my ...

Duraspark conv???
I have an 84 bronco II and my distributor is all #$^%ed up and I've been readin about the duraspark conv. I was wondering how involved it is to change it over. I know i'll need the distributor and carb, but will the stock coil work because my friend has an msd coil like the original and i want to ...

Good news! I got the flywheel in the Bronco. The tranny sure was a pain! Ford put the damn exhaust right in the way, but I was too lazy to take it off. The starter works great, just haven't got the distributor in right so it isn't runnin yet. I'll have it in and hopefully runnin tomorrow. 1 question ...

also, i have a few other ?s. My power steering hose looks like it leaked before and the hose wiggles inside the fitting on the pump. when i got it the pump was empty and had no cap on it. I heard the ford power steering hoses were made to wiggle in the pump fitting (sounds screwy to me). also, do ...

84 bronco II flywheel replacment
I'm Jesse. I have a 84 bronco II with the 2.8L and the 4 speed overdrive tranny. I found out after putting a new starter on it that the flywheel has all the teeth pretty much filed off. I'm looking to see if anyone has had this problem. Also, I've been told that dropping the tranny is a royal pain ...
