hey everyone i have a 1988 b2 5 speed tranny all stock. The truck has NO rust and is ready to lift. Is it worth it to lift it even though its a 2 wheel drive? And what kind of lift is good for a 16 year old kid to install himself 2-4 inches but not a body lift? Thanks and does anyone here own a lifted 2 wheel drive b2?

you can put any 4 wheel drive suspension lift into the 2 wheel drive chassis. There is some grinding of rivots on the frame that will need to be done to remove the existing brackets to install the lift. It is easy depending on your experience and skill level. I recommend a locked up rear end if you plan on going offroad.

for a small lift, just get coil spacers, or leveling coils

you can also replace you springs with Explorer springs from the JY and get a cost effective lift of about 2-3" ive been told.

as far as the explorer springs go they will give you 0" of lift the reason they sit hoigher in an explorer is because the perches are mounted on the bottom of the frame rail where as the BII are mounted 2.5" up the side they will however remove the sag in your current setup(almost all BII's sag quite a bit) so id still recomend the explorer springs.
