Well I went and got me a "REAL" tranny out of a F-250 for my 5.0L BII :)

Total cost for Tranny and T-case plus both drive shafts and a few odds and ends was $280 cdn Gotta love Pick-a-Part :finger:

ok i have figured out that the tranny is a Mazda M5R2 but I cant seem to narrow down what the T-Case is i think its either a BW1356 or a BW1345 anyone know how I can tell for sure I cant seem to find a plate on there telling me.

Also anyone know of any problems or anything with these tranny's?

that looks like a bw 1356. and yeah they are really hard to fit into the truck and between the frame. its alot better to get a np 205.

really hard or next to impossible? and will the np205 bolt to that tranny?

np205 wont bolt to that adapter you will probably have to have it machined, or find one that will adapt to both. either way some machine work will be needed.

the 205 will bolt right up the only thing that you might have to do is grind a little bit to fit the shift shaft on the t case. I had to grind some of my frame and kinda move the t case over to the side. I wouldnt recondmend doing that. I would just sell it and get a 205. I got mine for 100 bucks but it might be a little more.

I believe it is 76' and newer ford trucks. At least ones that are married to the trans. 75' and older 3/4 tons were divorced. 1/2 ton trucks should all be married but I don't know how early the started to use the 205. GM started to use them in 69'-70' years.

Im interested as well. I have the bw1345 and it looks huge!!!!!! I might need another tcase to attach to my AOD without many mods.
