Put a new motor in here still the exact same problems... no power , backfiring through carb now she wont even start any ideas.....

If thisll help I was just attempting to start it and when it decides to backfire through the carb sometimes it blows a puff of blue smoke

did you check the timeing and the carb?

Distributor, coil, wires???? Sounds like a weak coil. Does it get hot while trying to start or run? The pickup coil in the Distributor could be wet or malfunctioning also.
