My Giffin was only $180 from summit. Pretty hard to beat. Supposed to be good to 400HP. I don't have any cooling problems.

I think it was the 27-1/2 x 15-1/2. It's a 2 core aluminum radiator. I just use a junkyard electric fan.
There are quite a few different generic sizes you can browse through. I think this is the one I used.

i had the james duff 4 core copper rad! it sucked it didnt fit in there to good. It didnt have any wayt to hook it to the bottom and the top didnt hook up to good and for 400 bucks that thing should have just slid in there. It was 22 by 17 i think.

I have read on the Ranger station that some of the Exploers Rads will work and bolt right in ;but they have to be like the 1st Gen 4.0 with auto tranny and A/C I think thats the was I am going to go I have heard they work much better then the duff rad

the first gen naver came with the 4.0L. the 4.0L didn't start until 90 and that is 2nd gen. I have seen the 84-85 rad with the 2.8L and auto handle a 5.0L though......

I used a generic Summit Brand one and it fit in there great, just had to make my own mounts for it. He was talking about 1st gen explorer Dbrown. I think mine is 3 or 4 core but I don't remember right now.
