i have a np435 to a np205, the adaptor is about 8 1/2 inches long. I am getting a doubler made that is gonna be about 8 or 9 inches long total.

Anyone know of a shorter trans to tcase adaptor? or am i gonna have to figure a way to push the rear axle back, or coin up on a high angle drive line?

If you are doing the 203/205 doubler, I would try find/make one that replaces the stock adapter for something shorter. I haven't researched it though, so I don't know what the options are.

As for moving the rear axle back, what springs/suspension do you have now? I replaced my stock BII springs with full size bronco springs, and home made hangers. They have less centerpin offset, which moves the axle back a little, plus I picked up a little from where I mounted my hangers . So my rear axle is moved back a couple inches. I'll have to measure and see how much.

Some guys flip the leaf springs around which would move the axle back 5-6 inches. I don't like that because it increases axle wrap. But if you used a traction bar of some sort, it might get the job done. And of course you could always link it.

As for the high angle shaft. The guy does nice work, but it's not really anything special. He just uses larger u-joints, which allows more angle. His stuff might be a lot stronger, but I think you can accomplish the same task with OEM parts. I think Jess even uses a lot of OEM parts.

I have to say I'm happy with my FS springs. Nothing extreme, but they are cheap and get the job done.

Edit: my wheelbase is 96". So it looks like I only picked up 2 inches.

the leafs are aprox 55 from eye to eye, the rear mount the shakle goes down to the spring, not up and the mount looks rivited on,

so looks like i need to link it and move it back?

i would like a lil more wheel base, its right about 95 --96
