This is a Utah house bill not a senate bill (H.B. 161)

Helen Hunt has been a spokes person for the anti SUV front for years. Just do a search and I'm sure you will find other groups. "I found Friends of the Earth" and "The anti SUV Portal".

Just shows that folks think that SUV's (and those who drive them) are bad and will do anything to rid this earth of them. It goes on to show how powerfull and well funded they are. Just think of all the $$$ school kids raised to save the planet is spent on this stuff.

don't get me wrong I am all for saving the environment but some of this stuff just gets too far out of hand......I think they should make people be more concious about oil leaks, litering and stuff like that but if they want to preserve it whats the use if we can't go and see it? my personaly opinion is if it is there then I want to go and I don't want to take a 4 day hike to go and see it. I would like to drive and explor myself, why can't people understand that we don't want to kill the environment.....we appriciate it our selves thats why we go and do the things we do.

Seems those folks really do want to make America like the old movie Ryan's Run. In that movie people were confined to a big globe and not let outside. It was a future where people were killed when they hit 35 years old to keep population down.

These groups really do beleive that the Earth comes first and people do not count. They don't care how many people die in rolling black outs. To them people are bad and the earth needs to be saved from us. They will tell you up front that they are not recreational groups. Anything and everything they can do to keep people in city's and away from our public lands they will do.

And they are very powerful. They want more power and control. They do not want to work with others to find workable solutions to problems. They want everything there way and will not stop.
