What is Gmail? I have heard it, but have no idea what it is.

It's free e-mail from google. You get 1GB of storage. They send you google ads based on the content of your e-mail, and it has some other searching and organization features. It's still in beta right now, and you need an invite to sign up.

I don't think that I need it, given that I don't use my current 125 MB E-mail all that much.
