Hi everyone. Been searching Like a mad man trying to find a replacement Valve cover for my 89 B2. Ford has them obselete (of course) and I cant find anyone that make a replacement, Anyone ever try to bolt on a 4.0l one? Guessing otherwise it'll be an ebay or junkyard thing. I only need the left hand. has a couple pin holes in it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I thought for sure LMC truck had some, but I just looked and didn't see anything.

That's a good question, but you are probably right. Junkyard would be an easy cheap solution.

I never had to replace one, but mine were old and rusty, so when I took them off I took them to a local CarQuest that had a machine shop, and they cleaned and painted them for about $30 I think...might have been $30/each...but they look sharp and brand new.

If you don't have any junkyards around, hit me up...maybe we can work something out and I can go find one for you.

I also have a set of bolts/washers for one valve cover that I pulled from a yard a while back that I could sell you too. I just need to clean them up.

Thanks for the offer Jefe but the hardware isnt an issue, I work for a Ford dealer and that is all readily available.

Wow...lucky you...I remember trying to find replacements for those and what the dealer wanted for them was outrageous. Crazy you can't get a valve cover from them though.

What's the going rate for regular joe that walks in there for those valve cover bolts and washers where you work?

Bout $20.00 a side but they are discontinued, But there are alot of other options available if you have your stock ones.

If you go to the junk yard remember that Rangers and Aerostars had the 2.L also.

That's crazy! My local dealer totaled it up and it was well, well over $100 for 16 bolts and 16 washers.

Yea, I dunno CFAIST. I didn't pay that obviously and just pulled some from the junkyard and cleaned them up. Shiny and new now. That's why I pulled another set...might help someone out in the future.
