4 cylinder diesel in bronco 2 help and advice needed

i am looking to put a mid range sized diesel into a bronco 2 but its going to be a 4 cyl i was thinking a 4bt but i am not 100% sure is the best option i live out in the county and just love diesel so any help will be very much appreciated
