4X4 stopped working

I have a 5 speed 89 bronco 2 with push button 4x4. All has been working fine. I would ride it around the yard every couple months to keep it freed up, and working. Now it will not come on. Pushing the button on the dash does nothing. I cannot even get the two usual clicks from the control module behind the drivers seat. None of the lights come on except for the ones on the dash while u are cranking the engine. I crawled underneath and checked all the electrical connections, they are ok as are the ones on the control module. All the fuses under the hood are good and under the dash. Could the buttons on the dash all of a sudden just go bad? I love this truck and and has been my daily truck for the last 4 years. Please HELP!!! THANKS in advance.

Sounds like the transfer case shift motor has gone bad.
