Can anybody tell me what the plug under the ashtray is for? It was unplugged when I bought it and wonder if it should be plugged in.

plug under the dash??
Re: plug under the dash??
any more info on the plug? pics?
prolly for the cigarette lighter. Is it small and elbow shaped?
Could also be some plug(s) for the AC components. The AC in my 90 BII doesn't work so I just unplugged it all. Those are grey and box shaped and connected to the loom. The cigarette lighter plug is just one kinda thick black wire with an elbow shaped connector at the end.

center consule?
Re: plug under the dash??
yea i'ma go with something to do with the AC.
I would look in my Haynes manual - but it sucks major ass and the creators of it should be taken out and shot from a very far distance - so they can feel what's it like when someone purchases their manual and then gets home and finds out it's worth shit.
