New member with a 300 straight 6 bronco 2

Hello everyone my name is Jesse im from Oklahoma and i have just joined this forum.I currently have a project goin it is a 1986 ford bronco ii it had a 2.9 fuel injected motor and a automatic trans. Well now i am putting a 1981 ford 300 straight 6 back with a c6 trans out of a 1985 full size bronco i just got the motor in the frame and started today sounds good and ill have plenty of tourqe i will be posting pics as i go along as of now the project name is the BEAST :D

cool a super 6. good motor cept for the exhaust manifold. is there room without putting the Rad. in header panel?

no the radiator has to go into the header panel other than that its good

I have been thinking of doing something like that also. Let me know how it turns out. Great idea, I like outside the norm thinking.

I just had another thought. :idea: How much firewall would have to be cut to fit the engine back into the engine bay so the radiator would set in the stock location? I was just thinking moving the engine back in the chassis will help with weight distribution.

im not sure just yet but im setting the body on this weekend to see how much body mods i have to do yesterday i moved my trans crossmember back about 2 inches and i measured driveshafts so i can have those made today i also had to grab the goodie box off of the fender of a 1975 ford f100 so i could start the motor i keep yall informed of the body mods
