I'm a proud owner of an 86 bII EB auto. While it has a bad battery and a few other minor problems, i was wondering if anyone could help me. In route to work every day, i cruise her at 60 down a county highway that has a few elevation changes. About once or twice a week, ill get slowed down by someone turning right be for an uphill climb to about 40mph. While trying to get back up to speed, she seems to just give up, the lil 2.9 will be screamin but she has no power it seems. Also sometimes i'll be doing 60-70(on the way home) at the bottom of a hill and by the time i crest it, i'm doin 35. It's embarasing and ive tried peddling it to try to get her in the right gear, injecter cleaner, new air filter, etc... but nothin works. A friend says its the fuel pump/plugs/or wires. Any ideas before i spend a long weekend replacing everything in her fuel system?
I know... lengthy, but the more info the better the help right?
EDIT: also, sometimes she runs like shes brand new and will just mash up any hill... just fyi, kinda weird.
