Trouble starting after not being driven for a while

Post by Amead »

My 88 Bronco sat over the winter although we did start it up once in a while. I has a strong battery charge and plenty of gas, so I used some starter /ignition fluid and I sparked almost enough to turn over, but it won't. It's just being subborn. Any ideas?

Id pull a couple of easy plugs and if they are cruddy replace them unless they are fairly new. Also check the Relays esp the one powering the EEC computer. Good luck.

Back to basics. Check spark, fuel and compression
