A 4.0 explorer motor and trans and diffs will all bolt right into your rig. the 4.0 will bolt up to the stock b2 trans. you would need to use the explorer computer and do some wiring but that is the the only real way to get more power with out dropping in a 5.0 or 351.

Do you know if the wire loom would work that is already in a 88 work to a sertain extent for a 4.0
