Ok, this is going to be my last suggestion. I already got my full width 9" rear and will soon be on the look out for a dana 44. I was going to buy the ttb lift for my bronco when i figured "why will i need this, i'm not even going to have the same differentials." Then i realized that I might be able to use an earlier lift, from an earlier truck without haveing to fabricate. I was also really excited to find out that a skyjacker lift for an early truck was just about half the price. So would you guys recomend, for me, a skyjacker lift on an early model ford?

Why not go (front) with James Duff or Wild horses coils? The TTB will probly be to stiff for a SAS.

i agree with Phillippi truck stuff is gonna be to stiff. the duff coil's are cheap as hell about $117.00 the rest of the part's will be pretty cheap. you gonna run fullsize axles?

and also, when talkin about differentials, whats a WMS?

WMS = Wheel mount surface. You measure the surface of the wheel mount to wheel mount to get your width.

if you go solid axle you need to use the solid axle springs. they flex better. if you use the TTB springs your front end will be stiff and ride like ass. it is all in the way the suspensions were designed. alot of people put the TTB springs in solid axle trucks around here to get a few extra inches of lift, but fail to realize how the truck will ride untill after they are done.

Ok so i should get the springs for solid axle, and have what increase on em? Will my sugestion work for and early model ford lift kit?

well the lift size depends on you, but the 3.5" buff springs worked well for Nobody. I think you would be doing the right thing by going with the duff or the wild horses but the duff spring are cheaper. as far as a kit.....you might need to put it together by yourself. remeber you are putting in a different axle and different suspension in the front so a "kit" will not work for you now. you need to break down the components and attack it from that angle. just remember these things:

front:
springs
radius arm brackets
bushing kit
track bar
track bar mount
shocks
break lines
drop pitman arm
steering (everything)
gears....make sure they match

rear:
leafs
shocks
break lines
pinion angle

if anyone sees something I missed just jump in.

well i almost forgot to mention that i'm gonna be running dual shocks in the front, with the new "james duff dual shock coil bucket." but i know im gonna go ahead and buy james duff radius arms(for early bronco), a drop pitman arm for a b2, I'm gonna look around for some ford traction bars, maybe wild horses or JD. Gotta get the extended brake lines and new coils, stock stuff is crap. yeap need me a bushing kit, hell the bushings i have on right now r really going fast. I'm going with james duff "lifted" B2 leaf springs. By the way dont wrry about the shock or leaf spring mounts on the nine inch. I'm gonna buy new spring mounts from summit and relocate the shock mounts on the nine inch. :D

what do u mean by traction bars on the "front" section? I thought those go on the back

Do i have to use a dana 44 steering setup? I know that i'm gonna keep the steering box and P/S pump thats originally with it. Can i suplement any of the TTB steering setup?

what you want is a cross over steering setup, not what the b2 has or chit were the drag link goes right to the driver side knuckle (alot of chevy chit). however it all depends on the axle that you find. your average run of the mill d44 that you'll find will not be set up for cross over, at least here in phoenix. if you get a d44 and it is not set up for cross over no worry just swap out the the passenger side knuckle with a flat top (milled and tapped) keep the origanal tie rod and make a new drag link, be careful though what knuckle you get. i would recommend trying to get a hold of a d60, if you cant i know ive got set of d44 flat tops and my best freind has a couple pairs so im sure something could be worked. also i know there are companys that make aftermarket knuckles too if ya get desperate.
:also very very important older ford d44s radius arm mounts are cast not welded on. you can not take those off, you ruin the axle houseing. good luck
if anybody see's something wrong with this please correct me
