1986 manual transmission

I have a 1986 4x4 with an automatic trans that has been rebuilt twice and wont shift into high range cant go above 45 mph. I was thinking about doing a trany swap and put in a manual trany. what trany would I need to look for?

the the trans doesnt have hi range,the transfer case does. is that in hi range
