motor questions

The timing went out apparently in my 84 b2 over the summer. it was fixed and i was just wondering what else could go wrong with it now. How much of a repair is fixing the timing in one of these. also how can i get some power out of this engine or do i need to swap for power.

84 is a 2.8, those were gear driven from the crank to the cam, not much can go wrong there, your problem could be in the distributor.

nothings wrong with the motor now. was just wondering what else could go wrong after i fixed the timing. any ideas for getting power out of this 2.8??
