How do i remove rotors from 1988 bronco 2?

Post by borjawil »

trying to replace the rotors on a bronco 2 1988, but i can seem to remove the rotors. There are rubber type caps that come out of the rotors. I think i need to remove these but not sure how to. Dont want to damage anything.

well if you take that dust cap off you can see a good size center nut that you will have to take off. then you will also need a special ford tool to get the slotted nut only has four slots. you might be able to use a punch or a screw driver. then evrything else behind that should slide of like a washer and there might be another threaded nut in there. the reason for this is that the bearings are part of the rotor and the whole thing is like one piece.

dont worry about the caps just take a screw driver to it and pound it a couple times.

good luck with whatever your doing
