2.9l to a 3.8l

I have a 1986 bronco2 eddie bauer w/ a 2.9l 4sp auto. The engine took a crap on me last week on the way to work. I think it threw a rod. Anyway, I have a 3.8l out of a 2000 mustangwith @ 70,000 miles that I was thinking of swapping into it to replace the old 2.9. Will this swap be possible without too many problems such as mounting tothe 4 sp auto,engine mounts, and or wiring problems?
