Bronco II rolling idle problem
Bronco II rolling idle problem
Good morning...I am hoping you can help me out on a problem I've had with my 2.9 automatic Bronco II for YEARS. When starting cold the truck has a sever rolling idle problem which results in the engine shutting down immediately upon putting it in gear. However, if after putting it in drive I giving a little gas, the engine catches and it runs pretty well with no stoppage. After the engine warms up the problem disappears completely. Over the years I've taken the truck to the dealer and various shops who do nothing more than hang parts that have not fixed the problem. If you can provide me any insight into what might be the problem I would be extremely grateful and will immediately add you to my Christmas card list. Many thanks, Jerry

First thing we need to know is what year is it? Next what engine are you running and is it carb or FI.
Give us the rundown and we can help ya then
