Agreeing with my username I am new to Bronco IIs. I am normally a fullsize guy but the woman who takes care of my needs says it costs to much money to wheel my Super Duty these days so I picked up an 87 BII for $600. Body is decent, interior fair, thought it ran really good at first, let me explain. Bought it on Wednesday, been in the shop getting painted for 3 days, got it out today and ran great the first 20 minutes, then would barely pull itself? I am clueless on this thing! lol HELP!

You'll never regret doing the basics, fuel filter, plugs, wires, and cap. How long did this thing sit? I would check fuel pressure at the rail too. :canada: :redneck:

The bronco only sat for 12 days before I bought it but the guy I bought it from only owned it for about 2 weeks. I have changed the plugs, wires, fuel filter, cap, all that stuff assuming something would fix it. The only thing that has changed so far is that it takes about an hour of being running temp for it to start acting up. Any other ideas would be great, thanks alot to anybody that has a thought.

Check codes, sounds like a sensor to me. Is it running rich or just falling on it's face? When it's acting up you should check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail, it may be the pump, these things don't cost anything to check, also use the search feature at the top right of this page to do some homework. :canada: :redneck:

Clem when you say pull codes what exactly do you mean and what do you need to do it?
