i bought a 84 b2 4wd a while back that doesnt have ANY emissions equipment on it at all anymore( :wtf: ) and has a bad carb( :mad2: ). i decided i want to make it into a dedicated trail/crawl rig and not even attempt to make it street legal again. my question is whether anyone knows if theres a way to convert to fuel injection for the 2.8 or if im gonna have to just replace/rebuild the carb and live with it? thanks

I know of a guy on another board that had converted a 2.8 to FI. I can't remember the guys name or the board he was running I do know it wasn't ranger station. Anyway I think he used some parts from another ford v6. I wish I could remember more but it is that AGE thing ya know!

Found a couple places that might help, follow the links:
http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_li ... ction.html
This link tells about the 2.8 and it's roots, but you may find it interesting:
http://www.broncoii.org/techpages/history/index.html
I also Googled "ford 2.8 fuel injected" and came up with a lot of hits, but from what I have read on some of the links, you need a friend in the UK or Australia to send you some parts, do a search and see what comes up.

I had this flash of Deja Vu this morning and finally remembered where I had seen this before.

Just go to this link. http://www.broncoii.org/techpages/2.8fi/index.htm
