BW1350 V8 mildly built???
I'm gonna put a mildly built 302 into my 84 Bronco II and my only real concern is will the T-Case handle the power or will the chain explode?
85 B2 Locked front/rear D35 TTB 5.13's, Ex 8.8", 35" MT's, 15x8 Steel, 3" Duff Lift & 3" BL.
I think it will probably be fine. Of course it all depends on how you drive, and I assume you would upgrade to a larger u-joint. Bob (www.mybronco2.com) used to run a bw1350 behind his 5.0L.
My original bw1350 never let me down, but the front output did get a little sloppy. bw1350's are a dime a dozen which is good, but it wouldn't be my first choice.
And I forgot about the guys making doublers out of them, they seem to be happy.
What transmission are you planning on running?
V8's are

It's gonna be budget. I'm going to use the C5 with C4 Bell, Torque convertor, Valve body, and Shift Kit. The 84 is actually just gonna be my DD for awhile but I figure why not drop a little power into it heh? It's only gas right.
And yeah I've never had a BW1350 fail either and the only ones I've heard of failing were do to poor maintenance like it leaked and nobody thought to check the fluid in it ever.
I just figured a 302 would stretch that chain pretty quick but so far everybodies telling me to not worry about it. I do have 2 spares just because I got them free and I'm still kicking around the idea of making a doubler.
