Was there any ford v8 trucks(any year) that came with a t-5? If so, then did any of em come with a borg warner 1350 t-case? I need to find an adapter for less money, 700 is too much to ask for......

the t-5 was used only in 1984 to 1995 Mustangs, this is a manual tranny.
The C-5 was used in 1982 to 1986 in both rangers and f-series p/u. This is an Automatic.
The C-5 was also used in 1984-1985 ranger and Bronco II, 4x4 versions having the 1350 as well.

The T-5 isn't a good transmission. It's got a shitty first gear, and your only option is a $700 adapter. It never came in a 4wd configuration.

If you insist on a 5 speed, the ford ZF 5 speed is probably a better bet, and you can use a factory transfercase and adapter.

the NP435 or T18 is the best bet but you can't use the 1350 with it.
oh, and they are only 4 speeds no OD.

205, 203, D20, D21

you have alote of options. I have a 205 with mine from the factory, but alot of people use the D20. the 203/205 doubler is a popular option also. one thing I will tell you is do not use the D21, it only has 2high and 4high.

Don't u need an adapter for the dana 20? But yea, 203, 205 and dana 24.
Also make sure it's the Ford 435 not the chevy :puke: or dodge :puke: :puke: :puke: .

U mean im gonna have to go to a manual t-case? I like my shift-on-the-fly, its for lazy peeps like me. I found a good one on the motors site, 100 bucks to the price on there and u can get any adapter u want. Man do I wish I could keep that little 1350.......

Oh yea, and what about the bell housing? Where will i get one from, can i use it off a t-5?

well, the "shift on fly" auto hubs suck. they break easy. the manual hubs are stronger.

the bell housing needs to be for a SB ford if that is what you want to run. get the bell housing and clutch arm. I have heard of a bell housing from a newer tranny that you can use the hydrolic slave but I'm not sure what the part you need is. I plan on doing what Nobody has done and just run the external slave from the 75 land cruiser. it seems to be the right rought for me, because I already have the bell housing and clutch arm.

Oh yea, what kinda boot can i use for the case and tranny shifter? I decided on an old d 20, gonna play with the gears a bit, maybe. And is the NP435 a good on-road tranny too?
