A Few Questions

Hey guys, I just wanted to itroduce myself first, I am new to the BII and I am thinking about starting a project on one I just rececntly came across. Here are some of things I noticed after I looked it over.

Not sure what year this BII is, but I narrowed it down to an 88,89,90

First I noticed someone was messing around with the spark plugs before I got to it. Does anyone know where I can get a diagram of where all the spark plug cables connect to because a few of them are out of place?

The distributor was also loose which made the whole engine shake. Is this odd for it to be loose? Whats the easiest way to get in there and tighten it back up?

My model has a push button for 4 wheel drive. The module is physically broke where the button won't work. And it also has an electrical problem where light won't light up. Where do I start with this? Is there a certain way to test this?

First off you should get a manual, that will sort your plugs out. The distributor should have a couple screws in it to tighten it. I'd replace all the normal stuff in there while your at it. Did this rig have papers? If so shouldn't the year be on that? As for the auto 4x4 thing I have no idea.

13mm wrench

88 looks different that a 89/90. at a quick look the dash and front clip are different. as far as the shaking, plug wires on rong, plugged fuel injector, vacuum leak.

After you get the distro tightened up, you will want to check your wires. You will find on the intake manifold, the firing sequence, just go clockwise from the 1 that is on the distributor cap, and match that to the sparkplugs. #1 piston is the passenger front. Your Chilton or Haynes manual will have it all layed out for you.
