Electrical ?

Post by 2BII »

Just picked up another '88 BII XLT on Friday. Battery was dead when I got it. Started it with a jump box. Put a new battery in it and it worked fine. Yesterday, I disconnected the battery to install my plow. Went to hook the battery back up (not the plow wires yet) and got a big spark trying to put the ground cable on. A quick check with my meter shows only 3 ohms between ground and the yellow fusible link on the solenoid. Does anyone know what circuits that feeds and what the resistance to ground should be with the key off? I went to my local library to look in the Mitchell book, but they only went back to '89 and the wiring diagram was quite a bit different.
