I am fairly confident that with the knowledge on HOW to do this I can do it no problem. My water pump had recently went out and I need to replace it. I do not have the money, nor would I even really think about paying someone 300 bucks to do something I could do for around 40. I have searched on the forum and could not find anything that would really help me so I am reaching out. Is there anyone someone could explain to me IN DETAIL, the steps in replacing my water pump and what tools I will need to complete the task. I have been told there is a special tool I will need to get the fan or radiator out, cannot remember what exactly he said. So can anyone help me out?

Yes there is a tool and it looks like a giant wrench that you need to hold the bolts on the waterpump do you can reverse thread the fan (and fan clutch if I remember correctly) off the pump. Buy a Chiltons or Haynes manual for $10 or so and it will walk you on the take down and install. Good luck.

I started today and got to the fan clutch and cannot get it off. I rented the fan clutch wrench and other wrench to ghet it off and it just strips it. I am turning clockwise like instructed everywhere and I have no idea what to do from here. please hellp
