WHats better, getting a c-4 at a junk yard and rebuilding it. Or buying a brand new tranny, such as a Performance Automatic c-4. And is there n e adapters from a c-4 to a Borg Warner 1350 t-case, besides AAdapters? Or is there one i can get a yard?

Im going cheap......

The cheapest way to do what u want is to buy a bronco II c-5 tranny, have it rebuilt and use a c-4 bellhousing. 302 to c-4 bellhousing to c-5 tranny to 1350 trans case. Beef up the c-5. or use the dana 20 and c-4 tranny.

how much are you getting the C4 for? i have a good 1967 C4 with only 62,000 on it

I recommend a 1970 or newer c-4 as the design changed. Also since the c-4 has a removable bellhousing, make sure your bolt pattern matches. Use the 157 tooth flexplate and make sure the starter motor engages properly with the bellhousing. Then pay 600 bucks to AA for the 1350 adapter.
OR-- the c-5 tranny came in the 84-85 bII. It has the same dimensions as the c-4. Once u get a c-5 just change the bellhousing, torque converter and valve body. This way u won't have to use the computer module. If u don't change these parts, the torque converter will lock up.
