Well, I thought I did pretty good until I got home. I picked up the full size bronco driveshaft for my rear that was apparently supposed to bolt right up once shortened and I happen to have 2 problems. First , it doesn't need to be shortened it needs to be lengthened. Second, the flange on the fullsize is 3" x 3" bolt pattern, the one on my t-case is 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" I need at least a 32" d-shaft length for the rear and the one I picked up only extends to 30"
So, vabronconut, I hope you can help out here. You suggested this so I hope you just forgot to tell me something. Thanks in advance. Your a real help to everyone.
I have the front shaft all figured out though.
I do plan on going back next weekend for a manual t-case w/ a fixed front yoke and a flanged rear, which will also end up being a 2 1/2" bolt pattern.
Junkyard Trip - Brought home more problems.
Re: Junkyard Trip - Brought home more problems.
Well, I went to the junkyard again today. I made a different choice than I did last weekend. This was a spur of the moment thing. I picked up an np435 and np205 already mated together and I pulled it off of a 302. I don't need to buy any adapters. I'll be picking up a 302 within a few weeks. The j-yard had a special on tranny's this week and I got the pair for $75. So now I am committed to the 302 swap and I'm begining my research.
