What should I use???

I just bought a bronco 2 today and I'm picking it up later this week. I'm not sure what year but its a 4x4 with a chop top and everything stock. I would like to lift it 6 or 8 inches and widen the wheel base so I could put some 37" boggers on it. I also wanna put some new shocks in it. What are the best shocks to get for a bronco 2 and also what is the best way to lift it? Also how would I widen the wheel base?

whoa! 37" boggers on stock axles is asking for trouble. The front axle under a bronco II is a dana 28 it will not handle anything over a 33" tire. As for widening the wheel base I think you mean widening the track width, you can do this with wheel spacers, if you mean lengthening the wheel base, ya got your hands full. The most common upgrades for these rigs is a solid axle swap or sas. This involves finding a suitable front axle(preferable an early bronco dana 44) and matching rear axle. If you just want to lift the guts out of it to cruise the streets than any lift kit from skyjacker, rough country or one of those places will happily take your money. I suggest using the sites search feature to find out more.

Explorer axles (Dana 35 frt) is a direct swap and add about 2 inches hub to hub. Trim the body to clear the tires as needed.
I lifted the back of my '84 using the front mounts off the rear springs found on pre 2k explorers. I got 2 sets of them and put the springs directly under the frame. 6" or more lift and real good flex.
I have the drive shaft for this if you want it - $150

OK well i'm actually new to mechanics and i dont know what im talkin about, I just know what i want. if 37's are out of the question on stock axles than what will the dana 44 handle. and as for the lift a 5 inch suspension lift and a 6 inch body lift is wat a couple of ppl said would be good. but I do wanna make the wheel base wider beacuse I recently rolled an 04 ranger and it was as slim as the bronco is. so i wanna make it less likely that i will roll.

ok I've been making some decisions over the past couple of months, since i cant really off road around here in the winter, and i did some much needed body work on the B2, like fixin some rust spots in the floor boards. but i also decided to but just a 3 inch lift on the b2 and in when i get the time, baseball starts soon, i am gonna make a canvas top for the back of the B2.

if you dont want to swap axels just yet get you a 3 inch suspension lift rough country and a 3 inch body and run some 33 or 35 until you get to run some 37.
