New guy in Louisiana

Been lurking for a little while in anticipation of getting my 84 Bronco II. A friend has one with a rebuilt 2.8 auto for 400 bucks. I've been out of the 4x4 scene for a long time and am ready to get back into it with a different approach. My first 4x4 was a 71 GMC K10 ex-fire dept truck with one ton axles, 454, PTO winch, etc. Ended up selling it in 93 because I'm not much of a GM fan. I'm a Ford man through and through. I plan to build this truck with the idea of sticking to trail riding. I'll avoid the big mud holes when I can (Pretty hard here in South La.). Real interested in the V8 swap. I have a 351 Windsor that I've been saving for a project for about 10 years that could be fun, but I still need to get the truck first.
