Replacing Valve seals...

Well I guess it is time to replace the valve seals on my 2.8L motor that is on my 84 BII.
I am having a hard time getting emissions to pass, as it puffs some smoke now and then, always in the morning and when I rev it up.
How hard is it to replace the valve seals on this motor.
I am not a mechanic, but I just put new inner, outer bearings, new brakes and rotors on. I imagine this job I just did is a lot less difficult then a valve seal replacement.
Anyone live near las vegas, Nv or in short driving distance t make some money on the side?
thanks-Kelly

kelly-
actually there a two ways i know of to replace the seals. i will try my best to explain them, neither is that difficult.
first way is the long and hard way, but it is really the right way of doing it. and that is to pull the heads and get them on a bench. and then follow directions in next paragraph. when on bench i would set them on a piece of plywood so that when working with the valves they don't get gouged on the metal bench.
the second is the easy way and fast and cheapest way, but if you screw it up your pulling the heads anyhow. in this way you go to the hardware store with one of your spark plugs and find the fittings to make a air hose adapter that will screw into the spark plug hole. you remove the valve covers, remove and label position of each rocker arm ( very important to put the same rocker arm back in the same postion it came out of, each is worn to match that position) and then leave the push rods in the engine, be careful not to disturb them as it will knock them off the lifter. then its easy,,,,, take out each spark plug and hook up your hose using about 50 psi air. put on a spring compressor that you bought at autozone for about $15 and compress the spring and remove the keepers, then spring, then seal. the air pressure will keep the valve in position as long as you do not push directly down on the valve itself. it will take a bit of pressure to push one through so just be careful. worst case you push one through and then you have to pull the head.
hope this helps
