It would be nice to respond with 1st names, being you always respond to everyones questions.
Your memory is good, she is a carb system so someone probably did what you said.
currently:
rebuilt carb
new plugs, rotor, and cap
insulated fuel lines all the way back to the tank
new fuel filter before carb rebuilt
new oil changed in motor, tranny and front/rear axle
added a no smoke product to the engine oil and no smoking
Going to flush the radiator next and replace all belts
I turned up the idle, rechecked the tightness of the carb base bolts, all plug wires tight. I took it back to the carb rebuilder and he adjusted the air mixture and said it is running good.
I put about 1/2 to 3/4 a tank of ethanol in and she ran good for a 100 mile plus trip. Yesterday she started with the dying out and not wanting to start after running for a while. The temps are still slightly over 100 here. I have heard that ethanol burns very hot so maybe that is my problem.
I am off to the gym with her to see how she runs...
