Slow first gear start.

Okay guys my bronco has a very slow first gear start. Its amazingly slow and i dont think that its the transmission, after i reach around 10mph i throw it into second and the truck takes off.... but this start makes everyone at lights behind me and pretty ticked off and sometimes i even get honks... sometimes i think the truck just isnt going to go... any ideas on fixing this?
