tranny swap

ok this is my 1st post on here so here i go. ok i a 85 b2 4x4 about two weeks ago i see that some one has change the tranny out from a 5 speed to a 4 speed. any reson y they will go from a 5 to a 4 speed.

the tranny probably went out and that was the one they found in the junk yard...

I don't think any of them were realy good, except the mazda m50d that came behind the 4.0L.
you can ID it at the rangerstation.com on their main page and do some research on it.
