has anyone ever seen or done a early bronco frame under a bronco ii? i got a guy who wants to sell me a eb frame balsted and por-15, with new dual shock hoops, extended radius arm brackets already installed, and james duff stage 2 extended radius arms with some other stuff for the swap, for $1k i would love to have the bos frame and the extended radius arms , so i am wondering how much work is the swap, as in are the body mounts close ? or do i have to cut them all off and relocate them? any input is welcome

A guy here in the NW did it a few years ago but he also hacked it to basically an extended cab length. His name is Roger but he goes by the name "fearMe" if you want to search other forums.
I have this picture and he has sence scraped the body and went back to an EB.

I'm wondering. Why would you want to go to all the trouble of swapping frames? I'm going to guess one reason might be strength, but wouldn't boxing in or reinforcing the BII frame be waaayy less work?

i have a early bronco dana 44, and 9" i am using that would mount better under a eb frame, the frame is boxed and is a ton stronger, the v-8 sits better in a eb frame and special headers are not required, this frame comes with the power steering box needed, and extended radius arms. the deal im getting also comes with a extra 9 " housing with the perches removed and wedges welded on, so im going to use my radius arms from the front and use them in the rear with coil springs. im trying for a real rock crawler, we will see how it turns out.

just a heads up, im going to pick up the stuff for the swap this weekend. the guy is selling me a eb v-8 frame that was blasted and powder coated, extended radius arms from james duff, dual shock hoops, good eb gas tank, eb engine mounts, eb rebuilt p/s box rebuilt from west coast broncos with drop pitman arm, and a 9" housing set up with axle wedges already installed, all this for $900. the engine and np435 should sit allot better in this frame, i can run mustang headers, and james duff sells a complete exhaust system for cheap so, as bolting the body to the frame might be harder, but everything else should be allot easier. i will be selling some parts off of the bii frame that i installed for a solid axle swap, check out parts for sale forum to see a list.
i will ry to get pics of my project before i tear it apart to do the frame conversion.

to keep you updated i finished most of the chassis. the engine np435/np 205 is installed. the front and rear axles are in also. i had to change the front springs from 3.5" to 5.5" due to the tire size, which sucks the 3.5" were brand new and i lost money selling them. i also got the body set on the frame. the front core support mounting points fit great just had to drill holes 1 inch inboard of the old holes on the perches. the rear was a different sorry. i am using 3" lift blocks mounted flush with the top of the frame, after mounting the front i went to the back and it was sitting off of the frame 9" !!!!!!!!!!!!!! found the body resting on the frame where the rear seat floor pan drops from the rear bed. it stood no chance against my saw saw though
i cut a 12" slit in the floor pan on both sides of each frame rail and the body settled down on the rear blocks perfect. i will have to put metal patches on the inside floor board but its ok.
it looks sweet sitting on that frame !!!
i also removed the front grill and cut the front core support out for the radiator. one problem i am working on right now is the early bronco p/s box sits too far fwd and i had to remove it or the body rested on it. i will have to notch and re-box that area of the core support. the engine definetly sits in there allot lower and better. all the angles are great the tranny/tcase have about 1" clearance under the floor board. i get the shocks in this week so i will take pics next weekend.
