Wondering if anybody has any info on this. I have a 85 B2 with a 2.8 and a auto tranny. Im wanting to ditch the computer controlled carburetor and all the other junk and put a plain old carb and distributor on it. What carb and distributor would be good for this? Also, what kind of other problems will I encounter?

Here's a link that will help you.

I just did mine and it's what I used. I think you will be pleased when you do it. Mine now idles and runs better. It even sounds better and the throttle response seems better also.
I bought all new parts and used the "78 mustang ll as the model year when getting the parts. Here's a break down of what it costs.
Auto Zone distributor...........part # 30-2691....$67.99
Auto Zone distributor cap.....part # F952..........$8.99
Auto Zone rotor....................part # F953............$3.99
Auto Zone control module....part # F102.........$25.99
Carquest cap adapter..........part # FD155.........$9.91
Total plus tax..................................................$127.59
Auto Zone doesn't carry the cap adapter so I had to get it from Carquest and I used the stock TFI coil.
