no key and is in off position how do i take the old one out without key or do i need one

Well since the the ignition cylinder is damaged, you might to drill it out or something....otherwise, here are the instructions in Chiltons.

Without a key and without damage it's a PITA, it took me well over an hour to do one. I would suggest calling a locksmith and asking him how much to do it or talk to Ford and see if they can make you a key off of the vin #, if they can it should be under $5. If you have to do it without the key go slow, unfortunately I can not be of much help I don't remember what I did.

Pull the wheel off and all shrouding. There is a roll pin holding it in. Drive out the roll pin. You won't see it untill the wheel is off.

Should be able to knock it out then.

I swapped the 90 tumbler I had for one from an 87 as I had more keys for it.

I have pulled all the tumblers out before just to get by for a little while. just remeber to lock your door because if you do that any ford key will start it.
