hello everyone, i'm new here and i have a little bit of a situation. i have a 1985 bronco 2 that has a 351 H.O. backed with a c6, and i'm not sure what transfer case. the truck has a body lift to assist with clearance issues (33 x 12.5 goodyear wrangler mtr's) and of course the fullsize running gear. now my problem is that with the transfer case being set back a little further, when you try to put the front driveshaft in it hits the radius arm bracket/crossmember. remember the truck has no suspension lift, so i would think that lowering the bracket would put the front end in a bind.(i also have fullsize driveshafts cut down for it) this is a frustrating problem. i was just hoping that someone with a little more experiance would be able to enlighten me. i have also thought about extending the arms, but not quite sure how because they point in a little, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

If your driveline is hitting your crossmember you need to move, clearance or remake a different style crossmember. It's not hard to make a crossmember.

When i did the doubler I had to remake my cross member also. I took 4 inch long piece of 3/8 wall tubing with a 6" od and cut it lengthwise to produce 2 halves. I then cut the cross member in the appropriate place and used one half of the tube with the arch pointing up to fill in where I cut for driveshaft clearance. If need be I'll get a picture or two of this abortion for you.
